The CSI College of Engineering is situated in the Ketti Valley. It is 2 km off the Coonoor-Ooty highway from a point on the highway known as Yellanahalli. Yellanahalli is 12 km beyond Coonoor and 10 km before Ooty on the Coonoor-Ooty highway. The institution is a self-financed, Christian minority institution. It is run by the CSI Coimbatore Diocese and the current Bishop of the Diocese is the Chairman and Correspondent of the Institution. The institution is approved by the AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to the Anna University, Chennai. The institution was started in the year 1998.
